Do a search on amazon for "LED light bar" and you'll get dozens of results for $30-100 light bars.

Anyone try any of them? They work? How do they compare (light output, durability, etc) to the name brand bars?

For an example...

I bought three pair of 6x1 CREE LED lights through Amazon. Waterproof, aluminum case, 18 watt, just what I was looking for. So far three have water intrusion and failed.

If they are made in China, run, don't walk away. Cry once, buy once.

I have used the kawell brand with good luck for couple years. Couple small led floods on a zero turn mower and used one of the small light bars 12” bars on a fourwheeler. Granted both are not usually under water or splashed a lot the way I use them but have been pleased.

I have a pair of 3x4 (I think) Amazon LEDs stuck under the rear bumper of my truck. Wired with a relay to turn on with the reverse lights if my parking lights are on. Been there for about two years. No issues to speak of.

The brand name is Auxbeam btw.

I want one of the smaller bars that will fit behind my grill. The longevity of those two make me comfortable taking a gamble on another Amazon bar at $20 fwiw.

I've been contemplating rigging up the same two like I have on the dual sport. That'll test em lol.

I have a 54 inch bar on my bumper and a 30 inch behind the grill. I love mine. Pay attention to the reviews and you shpuld be fine. Eyourlife bars have worked good for me. If you are wortied about water intrusion there are youtube vids to show you how to prevent it. You can buy a lot of replacement bars for what a set from Ridged costs. The light out put is great. They are all made in china. Do not buy the cheapest or you eill have problems by the ones with the most and best reviews. Amazon is the best place to get them.

Put a 14” 18-watt light bar on my wife’s ATV from amazon. I think it was about $25 and made by “eye your life”. Has lasted fine so far, though we don’t ride mud, just trails. However, I do pressure wash our bikes after every ride and it has yet to get any water in it.

For the price of Grote or the other expensive lights, I can replace this thing 10-15 times. Yeah, I’m all about buying American-made, but not when they are straight-up ripping me off.

Yeah, stay away from generics or those with few reviews. I've got a set of MLights sitting in a box I haven't tried yet. But, I have tried various replacement bulbs both interior and fog/driving lights. Ever notice you get 4 instead of just the two you need or some similar over quantity? That's because they fail. And the failure mode is flickering. My car currently looks like the Back to the Future DeLorean just before the jump. But, that's just my limited experience.

I've had a highly rated Amazon bar on my wife's 4Runner and no issues. It's pretty common for people to recommend RTV'ing your own seal around the lens to prevent moisture. Tons of guys on TacomaWorld use the better rated Amazon bars without issue.

Sure, the throw is typically better or beam more intense but unless you're Baja racing, these will do fine for most people.
