Don’t laugh, it use to be fairly common to see a person or two from “restricted” states go thru boxes like tha looking for pre-ban dated mags which go for big bucks quiet and discretely back in their home states. A $5 used GI pre-ban mag here can go for $50 in restricted state now.

My point is that you can’t prove when a mag was made. Any “GI” mag could be a pre ban if it has no manufacture date. They gonna carbon test it to date it? I don’t think so.

The 8-91 means August 1991 … not all manufacturers date stamp their mags but others may use a date wheel like Magpul does …

During the ASWB new mages over 10rnds would say "LE-MIL only"

You then knew it was manufactured between 1993-2003
