So my neighbor has been truck shopping for months. He has an old Tahoe on a 2nd engine that has 300,000 miles or so. Well kept and babied in his garage. He makes a very good living, is smart and frugal so he has the funds for whatever he wants. His Mom just passed so he inherited even more $$. So he was hot on a $65k Chevy for a while. Couldn't get a deal he liked. Techy guy that has to be the smartest and get the best deal of course. So a few days ago he tells me he's on the Dodge Rebel or something for around $55k. He picked it up last night. I was out with friends so couldn't go over and get the tour. When I came home I noticed it was in the driveay not the garage.

So today he tells me it won't fit in his garage! :p:D:p:D:D:p:D

Love that crap. He said he needs to totally tear out his huge work bench and re-do his entire garage. I can't wait for some birds to dive bomb his pretty new truck. He'll be out washing that thing daily. Going to have to plot some good jokes. Maybe get some of those fake bullet hole stickers.

I own the truck, the truck doesn't own me, ha!

That being said, a Rebel should be a nice off road package, I would never own one, but it's cool.

I couldn't pay over 10k for a car and wouldn't ever buy a truck unless I was in construction or other line of work that required it lived on a farm. Trucks are the biggest waste of money on the planet.

That is what everybody I know says, then they call and ask to borrow one of mine...

I think a giant SUV is a bigger waste of money. If I need to seat 9 people I'll buy a van if I need to carry a dead deer I'll buy a truck.

Well he is christening his truck this morning. He just sent me a picture of a DEAD deer so there will be some fresh blood in the bed. I'll feel a little guilty messing with him when I have venison from him in my freezer.
