Thread notification problems

Anybody else have problems not being notified when threads you're in, or have started, have someone commenting on them?

I'm noticing it here and there. The latest is this thread below, which I started a while back:

Three people posted on it today and I never saw a notice. I just happened to see it while scrolling down the new posts page on the site.

I know it happens a fair bit of the time with me, and I don't know why. Is there a time frame, after which we don't receive any notifications unless we post on them again? Even so, I'm pretty sure I've failed to get notices on fairly recent stuff, too.
 
I'm not sure I've ever subscribed to a thread in order to get notifications.

But, I was going to guess it may have something to do with threads started before the conversion to Xenforo, but then you said it was happening with new threads as well. Dunno.
 
Mine's hit and miss. Some days I get some, other days I get others. Infrequently do I get all my notifications every day. I end up scrolling thru the pages to read new posts to some of my subscribed threads.

Glad to see it's not just me.
 
I have the opposite problem-- I sometimes get notices (emails) of new posts in threads I'm watching... but I'm not watching those threads.

Actually, it hasn't happened in a while. Maybe that issue went away.
 
I'm "watching" several forums and several threads. I've not had an issue getting notifications. I get them in emails and they show up in the alert category up top
 
I too have a hit or miss on notifications. When I look through New Post I will see threads that I am subscribed to and did not get the notice.

Example: I'm subscribed for alerts to the "would you hit it " thread. New post 29 minutes ago. Have yet to get an alert for it.

Wondering if it's a timing setting for the alerts. Like instant, or once per hour, etc. Ill see if there's any setting for them.
 
Weird. no big deal either way.
 
It's happening with mine as well. It only started a month or so ago.

Ive tried "unwatching" and then "rewatching" and it only works sometimes. Different threads/forums all across the board. I have been unable to see a pattern or possible cause which is one reason I hadn't said anything yet.
