Had a bunch of carrots I could bend almost enough to double back. Apparently you can revive them by soaking in cool water! I tried it and lo and behold it works! Got some nice, crisp carrots again! Supposedly you're supposed to store them in an airtight container in water while int he fridge to get about a month out of them. I just put my wilted carrot bunch in to see what happens.

Anyone have some more secrets of vegetable storage?

Add some ice to the water. It will firm up tomatoes and such. Give it about 15 to 20 minutes.

Heard this the other day for strawberries that had started getting soft and it would firm them back up.
