Alright....who's next? Hi Point just dropped Dicks too. Let's keep this snowball rolling! If you could get remington, browning, etc. to drop them, this could end up seriously hurting Field and Stream.

MKS Supply, the producer of Hi-Point Firearms, also decided to part ways with Dick's Sporting Goods. The company's president, Charles Brown, released the following statement:

MKS Supply, LLC, exclusive marketer for American-made Hi-Point Firearms and Inland Manufacturing, values the customers that it proudly serves and the God-given freedoms that they enjoy. Because the right to keep and bear arms was recognized by our founding fathers to be a fundamental right, they ensured its protection under the Second Amendment. Just as we show our commitment to our customers by standing behind our products, we believe it is equally important to show our commitment to our customers by standing behind their Second Amendment rights.

In recent months, Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, have shown themselves, in our opinion, to be no friend of Americans’ Second Amendment. We believe that refusing to sell long guns to adults under age 21, while many young adults in our military are not similarly restricted, is wrong. We believe that villainizing modern sporting rifles in response to pressure from uninformed, anti-gun voices is wrong. We believe that hiring lobbyists to oppose American citizens’ freedoms secured by the Second Amendment is wrong. Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream, in purportedly doing all of these things, have demonstrated that they do not share our values.

MKS Supply, Hi-Point Firearms and Inland Manufacturing are standing by the American people by refusing any further sales to Dick’s Sporting Goods & Field & Stream. We are proud of our products, we are proud of our customers, and we are especially proud of the freedoms secured by our great U.S. Constitution. We are committed to all three.

Charles Brown
President, MKS Supply, LLC

Remington could cure cancer, erectile dysfunction and regrow hair and I still wouldn't touch their current offerings, so who they sell too is a bit irrelevant lol

I've had nothing but good luck w Hi Points. Ugly bricks that work.

While that's good news and probably good (better) for MKS. It's still not good enough to convince me to buy a Hi Point. Sorry, I've dealt with my share of fugly stuff in my life...

My feeling is that Dick's and Field and Stream could care less if they sold firearms and firearm accessories. It's probably not a huge part of their market.

Still not worth me buying one.

I have had 2 Hi Points here. 1 in 9m and 1 in 45. They were both carbines and both were 100% while they were here. I have NO experience with their handguns.
Still....they are not for me. I don't consider myself a weapons snob, nor would anybody that knows me......and still...I just can't warm up to them. I am glad they are available for the folks that use them. Kinda like the SCCY we have been testing. Just not for me.

I bought a used 9mm Hi-Point Carbine for $140 several years back and it's a great little gun. Wife and son shot it a lot over the years. Only problems I ever had with it were due to an aftermarket mag that wouldn't feed......

A few years ago, I bought a basket case 9mm carbine for next to nothing just because I was bored and wanted a project. I called the folks at Hi-Point to order parts, which I had every intention to pay for. The super friendly lady that answered the phone forwarded me to the warranty department. The gentleman that answered said that he would be glad to send me the parts for free but I also had the option to send my rifle in and they would refurbish it for free! I took the second option even though it defeated my original reason for purchasing the weapon. The gun was back in my hands a couple weeks looking brand new! Looked like everything except for the receiver, barrel and stock were replaced with new parts. They even included a new magazine and return shipping for free. I eventually sold the gun to a friend, but not before I shot a couple thousand trouble free rounds through it. I've had a few of the pistols over the years and they ran perfect also. Yeah Hipoints are cheap, ugly, heavy and not ergonomic but they work and they are backed up with a warranty service that has no peer. I have nothing but respect for MKS and Hipoint.

Here's a video for my latest Hipoint:

You don't have to tell most of us about Hi Points. People who have acually owned them know.

I’ve owned one and still have it. 9mm carbine...definitely a keeper.

As far as Dicks goes, I don’t play tennis or wear Under Armor so I don’t shop there.

So your bald, have cancer and a limp noodle? I'll pray for you. :D
