TO THE MODS: We need a lever action cowboy rifle section!

What would it take to get this sub-section? Do we need to run a poll? Ask trump?

Really I and I am sure other members have questions about cowboy style guns and reloads question with no place to ask it directly or get a direct reply.

Last weekend I took a Marlin 45-70 and a Rossi 92 44 mag out and need some options on sights or what to do with the sight that are on the gum.

This would be a GOOD add.

I am going to ask a question anyway about buckhorn sights. Gun is a Marlin 45-70 shooting 300 grn. missouri bullets around 1400 feet per second. At 100 yards I am at the next to the top level on the buckhorn sight. Ballistic app for that round shows a 60" drop at 300 yards. The steel is 24". Would you line up the sight at the center of the target (hard to see) then move up a guess of 3 targets?
Was able to hit the 2nd and 3rd shot but could not repeat with the next 8 shots.
