Today I learned about tornado omelets

I’m gonna have to try that lol
 
I have been doing mine like Scott Rea.

That is a pretty neat cooking technique that I would never have the patience to get right. It looks delicious except being served over a ball of rice. Yuck.
 
Put that over a ball of shredded potatoes and it's game on for me. I don't mind rice, but not for breakfast.
 
It seems if it's not going over a ball of something, it's not worth the effort.
 
The brown American omelette is inferior to the creamy buttery french omelette - by leaps and bounds. Even just scrambled eggs cooked like this are amazing.

I stopped for an omelette this morning....

But everyone there was really nice...
 
I’ve not found a restaurant in Catawba County who can make an edible omelette. Over cooked and messy.
