I was looking back through some paperwork and found a receipt for me doing an even trade with a dealer my Interarms PPK/S for a Walther P22 about 13 years ago. Hindsight is 20/20. So dumb. I carried that for years as an off duty gun and should have kept it.

PS How long am I considered a "new member" in my profile?

New member until you change it under personal details

I've never made a trade I didn't like at the time. But I regretted trading my Vp9 for a Ruger AR with three mags and 300 rds of ammo. Of course about 3-4 months later the Florida school shooting happened so I didn't get hurt. I just liked my Vp9.

Years ago I traded a Mosin for an SKS that had been bubbad up real bad, but I didn’t know any better and I had just spent $90 on the mosin. Ended up trading the SKS very shortly after for a Llama .45 which was fine, but traded that away as well.

It was a fun learning experience that I’ll try not to ever do again.

if we are just posting about trades (no money involved): none.
i usually got as good as i gave. a very few went my way.

if we can include money for guns as a trade, then here's the worst one:
bought a Chinese (first clue) clone (2nd) of a Browning SA-22.
it was worth about 20% what i paid for it.

Sold a beautiful Norinco SKS around ‘95 that I wish that I had back.

I had a both a S&W 651 (2") and a S&W 351PD.

I kick myself every day for letting them go.

Traded away a S&W 627 PC for an AR back during the ban when they were sky high. Loved that revolver. Best shooter I ever had.

I’m a master of bad trades. I don’t want to talk about most of them.

Traded an AK for an M&P40 once. Bought the AK back for $350, a year later.

Traded a Colt Anaconda 8 inch .44 mag for a tattered up Harley Sportster in the early 90's, I wanted to go to the bike rally at MB. :(

Nothing fancy but I sold away my first Glock 19s, sequential serials and all. I also kinda miss my WASRs but they're easily replaced, luckily.

Traded my Virginity for 2 hours of lust filled sex.
Bad gun trades,, I rather not talk about. I'm still trying to forget.
Just because you paid her for 2hr doesn’t mean you can say the remaining 117min count as “lust filled sex”.

Sorry it was too easy lol

Back on topic, don’t think I’ve ever traded a gun. I find selling to be more efficient.

Traded a RIA Officer model in 9mm that was stupid accurate, I put nice stainless controls on for a Sig SP2022 that I never could shoot well.

Sold off a Sig P232SL with 5 factory mags that I picked up before .380 pocket pistols became popular. Recoil was snappy and I never shot it as much as I thought, so I sold it for a tidy sum. Now I find myself looking at them on gunbroker, kicking myself.

I traded my USP compact for a Colt government stainless hunk of crap. I'm a total 1911 freak and that Colt was my first but it still pisses my off when I think about it.

Back in grade school we went on a field trip to a museum and we all got stuff from the gift shop. On the way home, I traded my miniature lever action cap pistol I bought for a stupid snow globe some other kid bought. A frickin snow globe. I can't look at one today without that sinking feeling...

I've only ever traded paper money for guns and I don't think I ever traded too much because the paper is basically worthless anyway, I have never traded a gun for anything.

But I may have lost a bunch in boating accidents.

I usually try to be on the upside of these trades. Had a guy at the old forum trade me a nice Model 94AE for a polymer new frontier AR complete lower. That was pretty good and we were both happy. I have a feeling he's no longer happy

He still has that cap pistol and that great deal :)

Rub it in. I can only hope the plating has worn off the cheap pot metal and he has had numerous blood blisters over the years trying to load the thing. Come to think of it, I don't know if you can even buy evil red rolls of caps anymore. Ha ! But you can still get snow globes as long as they aren't offensive scenes- you know, like Frosty the Snowmound.

This was the single worst trade/sale I ever made in my life. What you are looking at is a Model 52 S&W with all parts necessary to rebuild it [armorer's kit] and a complete top end in 9mm. So, a complete 38 wad gun and a 9mm gun. All in a kit supplied by S&W. I was told later by folks who are supposed to know these things that there were 3 of these kits made. 92614 016.JPG 92614 016.JPG

I sold this for $2,800 and was happy. Ignorance is Not Bliss!

Sorry about the duplicate. I'm still larnin.
