Training for teenagers

My 14 year old daughter is interested in shooting but unfortunately her dad is not the best teacher…for her. Does anyone have a lead on training for teens?

What type of shooting is she interested in? I know several people who do a great job helping new people getting into the shooting sports.

Possible another adult that is not Dad will work. My younger son won't listen to a thing I say. But friends of mine have had good results teaching him. Maybe it's me.

When I take her to the range she will shoot both the .22 rifle and G44. She really hasn't specified a preference yet. For now, I want her to have good fundamentals until she can figure it out.

I've been considering pickup up an airsoft so we do some shooting in the yard since coordinating schedules to get to the range is a pita.

I have trained all sorts of youngins when it comes to getting them prepared for rimfire steel matches. That includes the fundamentals of rifles and pistols.

I do not charge anything and have a range with all manner of equipment. Paper, steel, etc. We also have a 100 yard rifle range in addition to a pistol pit.

The range is located in Silk Hope, NC. Feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to help.

Well it used to be all about helping folks get squared away for rimfire matches. But lately it has just been general firearm instruction. Not sure why that is per se but perhaps it has something to do with all the new gun owners out there. Ended up buying a few teaching aids because of it.
