This is not legal information just what I have gotten away with when I had to head north a few years back ...
I wanted something in my truck but was advised like above ... no bats or quite a few other things are questioned. A friend called someone who was a little more in the know and found out a couple things kinda give you a semi-acceptable reason to have them in your vehicle with my choice being “I lost my lug wrench and have breaker bar in the cab since I just had my tires balanced and rotated before my trip and made sure the lugs were tightened down correctly ”. With that I carry a cheaper 24” 1/2” drive breaker bar with the appropriate socket for my wheel lugs. I was never questioned so I don’t know if that “reason” for having it would fly but I did have the spiel ready if DC or MD LEOs stopped me and asked.
Something like this has a decent reason to be in your vehicle if you sell it right ...
