On the AR-9 that I built I have been playing around with different springs in the trigger group. Also, polished the contact points to almost a mirror finish. Got it breaking just north of 3#. How do I get rid of the creep?

Is it a standard Mil-Spec trigger or what?

Standard Mil-spec

Mil-Spec Triggers are case hardened & unless you know exactly what you're doing & have access to a kiln I would highly recommend you do not change the geometry. Once you file away the case hardening you will be left with soft steel that will not retain it's shape & all your work will be for nothing. You could also accidentally have a trigger that will fire full auto bursts & that's a definite no no.

If you want a Mil-Spec trigger that doesn't have any creep my suggestion would be to buy a BCM PNT or ALG ACT trigger. They are deburred, polished & plated (nickel, teflon, etc.), at the factory. I have a BCM PNT for sale here on the forum if you're interested.

Wahoo I am taking the gun to the range on Sunday and planning on running 100 to 150 rounds through it. The trigger break is sharpe but the creep is a little too much. This is the second time that I polished the parts but a new set of springs. I am hoping that it might breaking some after a bunch of rounds.
As a side note, I am also taking my CZ 527 to run rounds 75 to 125 through it. The normal set on the trigger is just below 3# and when set forward it was about .84#. Got to get used to that light break.

You can try a Joe Bobs grip screw adjuster.
You can dial out some creep with those.
