I need to mount a rmr on top of a pcc with a rail, it can be positioned to the rear, front middle etc
Is further or closer to eye desirable for any reason? If so which and why? Thanks for your input!

Ok found out, it's a trade off, further front less obtrusion in periferal vision
Further back the dot is easier to "find" less dependent on you angle of incidence of view.... can be readily found even if viewed from "side"
I choose further back (but not fully) since it is a brace so you don't necessarily gain a consistent cheek weld like on a "real" stock and I don't think I can afford time hunting for the dot

I run mine as close to my eye as possible for PCC matches. This way the dot is always in sight and the targets I need to see are all through the optic.
