Tumbling loaded ammo?

I have done it once or twice.

Long ago I was told not to. They claimed the powder could breakdown into finer pieces (dust) causing a faster burn and potential over-pressure issues.

I'm not arguing for either side or the validity or the previous sentence, just sharing my experience.

What's yalls opinions on selling reloaded ammo?

I have 1200ish rounds of 308 that was reloaded by a friend with reloading certs, I bought all of the components and comped him for his time.

Pretty sure selling reloads without a license is frowned upon like a lot.

Figured so, lol.

Guess I need a 308 now. Lol.

I somewhat recently started tumbling my 9mm reloads for 10 minutes after they come off the press to get the case lube off. I chronographed un-tumbled and tumbled rounds to see if they were any different, and didn't notice any difference. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I tumbled loaded rounds to get the lube off once. Found it to be not worth the time.

Mine fall off the press, down a pipe and into the tumbler. Screw the lid on and go get a beer. Come back and put them in cases. Pretty easy.

Thats not to bad. My press is in the house while tumblers are in the garage. Way to much effort for me.

if he doesnt have a 07 manufacturers FFL, has paid ITARS, and has paid TTB on it, and has product liability insurance, then its a felony.... and you selling it makes you an accessory to a felony

reloading "certs" i assume that he has the NRA certs... they dont mean squat....

the only way you can legally do it is if you found someone that has all those that i mentioned, and ask them to sell it for you... we have all those, and we dont load ammo to sell... too much liability insurance needed...

if you want to sell them. pull them first and sell the powder, bullets, and primed brass all together and your safe because you havent sold ready to shoot ammo.. all the liability is taken off you, and you dont need to pay ITARS or TTB
If I pull can I leave the primers in the case?

yes. i specified primed brass...
Sometimes the little things my brain skips over.

I tumble after sizing to get the lube off, then finish the cartridge when they are clean. Are you guys dropping powder and seating the bullet with case lube on? Seems like it would make a mess of the press.

I am not sure a prudent person would buy the powder even if the type is probably known. I would buy the brass and bullets but would use my own known combustible components.
