Take a look at some of the power saving features. TCL's often have a quick-boot feature on everything other than their cheapest models.

I'll take another look later, but memory says I've already addressed that. It's why I'm so disappointed.

You have made history for me now as I have never ignored anyone on this or other forums. I guess there is a first for everything.

I must apologize, my previous reply was misconstrued. It was intended only for the post author and the ones that responded. Not the entire community as the reading challenged @Carolinatlc seems to think.
The rest of you, I would be happy to lift a glass with or share a range session.

Maybe some folks like that but I am used to movies looking like movies. I know it's subjective but damn. I no longer find watching movies enjoyable as they all look too real.

Just invite someone over with their toddler, give them a bowl of chocolate ice cream, and sit them down in front of the TV with some kid's shows on.

He'll take care of that resolution problem in no time at all.

More than likely no. TV's are not build like pc's. TCL gets their price points down so low due to using older CPU's for their boards. One TCL I bought new in 2015 had a cpu that was outdated in 2012. They are generally pretty basic in the realm of computing board builds.
