I had never heard of it until yesterday, and was surprised, considering its content.

Was handed a hard copy of it last night by an older gentleman and told to read it...quite a behemoth of a book. Was told it is out of print, no kindle copies, and expensive to purchase the hard copies that are still out there...brief google search confirmed...looks like another book big brother doesn't care for folks to read.
 
If the links go dry, I’ve got PDF copies. It should be required reading by every wannabe gun grabber. As I said in another post, it won’t go down with seal team zero banging down doors at o-dark thirty to confiscate guns without incurring a reprisal.
 
I had the pleasure of corresponding with Mr. Ross (and snagged a first edition copy of UC). He was completely unassuming and overwhelmed by the attention paid to him and his book.

As was Jeffrey Snyder, who wrote a seminal article (A Nation of Cowards), which he later expanded into a book.

Yeah...it’s one helluva book, but worth the read. Although it is a work of fiction, there’s a lot of historically accurate information in it. If you read it, do it cover to cover; don’t skip over anything.

It’s one of those books you’ll have a hard time putting down.

There are copies for sale on Amazon and Abe Books, $100-400 seems the price range. Nothing on BN.

I don't know the area rare book specialists, but odds are if you went to one, they'd just buy it from one of those sources unless they happened to have it in stock already.
 
Dredging up this thread to remind folks that have NOT read this book, to read it; although it is fiction, the factual history Ross uses to tell the story cannot be repeated enough.
 
I’m pretty sure I have a PDF, seeing as the book hasn’t been in print for years and the only way to procure a copy is the secondary market, I don’t mind trying to dig it up and sharing if anyone hasn’t read it just shoot me a pm with your email address

I was able to pick up a copy of Unintended Consequences on thriftbooks for forty some dollars a month or two ago. Good read for sure.
