I think it’s only 60 miles from their base they can go. Also they will not be allowed to re-inlist. I feel like this is a huge cost and loss of trained personnel. You must not forget they are watching social media with rejection of Trump backers to enlist labeling them racist (so they claimed after the Jan 6th peaceful protest). Also don’t forget Sleepy Joe called for court martial of those who do not have the jab by Dec (bluff). Llyod Austin is a puppet who only got his job because Joe was told to give it to a black man. Yeah you know it’s true.

Do you know what your next adventures going to be?

Ive been a Reservist since I left active in 2014, so I have things going on civilan side as it is.
That said, Ive been contemplating changing everything work wise. Trade work is starting to affect my back and knees, especially coupled with so much military time.
Gave some passing thought about apprenticing as a butcher, but no, I dont really know what will be next.

Whatever you get into, I wish you success. I hate it that things got were pushed to the point you had to opt out.

Go for it!

I've butchered more deer in the last two weeks than I have in the past 30 years.

There's something oddly therapeutic about it.

This is everywhere. People who don’t even kill deer are bringing road kill to the local processors.

I would question the legality of that. My understanding of the FRAGOs have only applied to official travel. While a commander can deny leave for a couple reasons they would likely be opening themselves up to a huge IG complaint for denying leave in this case. If I am not mistaken the Army regulation on non-transferable flags, which most covid refusals are, stops favorable actions like schools/awards/reenlistments/PCSing but does not automatically prohibit leave or passes.
