Today was a much smoother visit. The transfusions Jerek got Thursday brought his hemoglobin up enough that he did not need blood today. His platelets, on the other hand, did drop and he had to get platelets today. He also got chemo today. It only took 5 minutes for the chemo to run, but it is strong. It wiped him out just as much as a longer running chemo would. Luckily today was the only day for chemo this week. He goes back Thursday for labs only. They anticipate that he will need blood again on Thursday and then hopefully his counts will start to come back up. As always, God is in control and he is listening to all of our prayers.
