The "Accustock" that comes with a Savage rifle isn't all that great, so I'm looking to upgrade to a nicer stock or to a chassis system. What say you....

Here's what I've narrowed it down to:

HS Precision Stock
or
MDT Chassis w/ Magpul PRS stock

Savage FCP-SR, Short Action Model 10, 6.5 Creedmoor 24" barrel
1,000 yards goal

I like the traditional look of a stock. A chasis system is great and can save some weight, but I haven't seen many that really catch my eye. What's your budget?

Budget isn't really a concern.

I'm really liking the XLR and HS3 chassis.

If budget isn't a concern I'd go with a maners stock/mini chasis system. They're pricy with all the options and carbon fiber, but I personally think they are fricken' awesome. Again, totally personal preference. If you like the looks of a chasis system go with it. XLR seems to get pretty good reviews and they have some butt stocks that will rival the magpul prs.

Tried a chassis system, realized I preferred a more traditional stock for bolt guns. YMMV

wow....I said budget wasn't a concern, I didn't say I was stupid! Not sure I want to drop another grand on this project.

You can find the for about 800. I loved the ones I've shot behind. I run Manners with mini chassis but still a grand.
