USPSA rule changes

So undercut trigger guards, and aftermarket triggers in Production now?

This is going to be good for business for parts manufacturers, but it won't change the rankings in matches.

... I say this as I'm purchasing a larger mag release...

Know what happens with bigger mag releases? Mags drop out after regriping. Mags drop out when going weak hand only. Mags drop out from aggressive table starts

I think the Pro changes take effect in like 3 months, but yeah, grind dem grooves off and stipple everything, then bevel the magwell to your hearts content just don't flair it. Oh, and smuggle 4oz. in somewhere.

Or just go buy a Tangfo or SP01 and be done with it

A year ago I traded a 10/22 and $150 for a pawn shop Glock 34 Gen4 thinking I would start shooting USPSA Production...then I find out the full monty stippling, Apex trigger, and extended mag release derail those prospects. Now it’s legal? Looks like I have no excuses anymore...

To clarify, it will be legal in May, the rules for Production don't take effect immediately.

I really don't see any of the rules changes giving a competitive advantage. The grip modification are what most people are doing to their guns that are not used for USPSA. I like the idea of being able to reshape and undercut the trigger guard on my G34.

Great, I’m going to try an unorthodox approach by dry firing and live firing(when I can) before my big debut then...if nothing else my gun handling/familiarity will be on point...now if only I can get an open slot for the May RPS match

Can’t wait to participate with my new Pistol Caliber Cheaterbine. But don’t worry. Any halfway decent pistol shooter will kick my butt. My goal is to waddle around out there and just have fun.

Major gone?
He making fun of the reason why production can have so many changes now.

From the BOD minutes "Discussion Note: A firearm from the Production list was provided to the group for an indefinite period of time. Included in the group of 12 attendees were: DNROI, a Range Master, and 9 certified CRO or RO. 2 of the 12 answered correctly to whether or not the firearm was in compliance with the Production Division rules, yet no one correctly identified why. Several reviewed factory images of the firearm from the internet. A second firearm was provided, with an obvious external feature difference. The group still could not determine which firearm was legal per the Production Division appendix."

So i see that carry optic changes are effective immediately.
What and where are these changes?
From what i heard today at the cggr match aftermarket triggers and mag releases allowed now?
Just curious cause i was on the verge of changing to carry optics and now if i can use my apex flat trigger im sold!
Lol

Cschlosser,
I just want to confirm what im seeing.
Im.seeing that triggers are now allowed for pro/carry optics as well as mag well beveling, no flaring, undercutting and stipling/reshaping grip, as well as extended mags. Effective immediately for CO and in 3 months for Pro.

Like i said just wanted to confirm before i throw on my red dot and go buy a few more mags and start practicing with a CO setup.

Thanks

Sweet that states it pretty clearly.
My particular firearm is already barely legal as it is so want to be sure.
I have the m&p core but the performance center model with factory slide cuts and barrel porting. I swapped to an apex replacement to be legal.

Guess for extra insurance i will contact the match director for next weeks match at "the range" to make sure he is in alignment

Still, no barrel porting allowed.
