I have an 8x16 trailer. For 75% of why I need a trailer it's just too big. So I've decided to build a 6x12 with my $1200 uncle sugar money

4 inch c channel for frame and tongue
2x2x3/16 alternating with 3 inch c channel for the cross members (3 inch acquired in a trade with a friend)
3500 lb Axle
Scrounged wheels
Already had tires
1/8 2x2 for the rails
Fenders and lights on order
Salvaged steel mesh from my other trailer for a tailgate
Lumber for floor

All in more than 1k less than buying

Here is the start. build to happen tomorrow 20200606_105003.jpg

I used to weld trailers....miss that. Looks like a good start, keep us updated.

We have a trailer supply close that's cheaper than even most online places. They were out of single axle fenders.

When I say cheaper. Like half the price of tsc, agri supply. 3500lb axle with springs and mount kit runs $130

Well if you have a legitimate reason to open a commercial account

You’d better tie down that Pepsi. ;)
