Bottom line, they got sued and a Federal court held that the VA has to rate people with pain conditions FOR that pain, rather than rating them for a condition causing the pain.

This is very good news for lots of people including myself

How is that good, that sounds like it's just throwing Narcotics at you to cover the pain, instead of finding, treating and correcting the condition causing the pain.
Like driving around with an oil leak, just filling it up instead of fixing the leak.

Wow, thats great news, i hope it starts soon

Me too

I emailed my county American Legion VSO today and he made it seem like it’s a go. Gonna throw a claim in when one I’m working on wraps up

This is not at all related to treatment, this is the decision making and rating of disabilities. The C&P program is “Compensation and Pension” where they rate conditions connected to service.

Rating pain on its own is a great thing for veterans who’ve gotten ignored or denied claims for not having anything else that can be pointed to and say “There, that’s the issue”.

I’ve seen more doctors in the last decade about my back than are employed by most hospitals. If there was something to fix, they’d have done it by now. Narcotics/pain meds are pretty much my only hope for a semi normal life. There isn’t a solution for everyone.

And the VA is the LAST place that will ”throw” narcotics at anyone. Ask me how I know.

Soo I’m gonna be like 150% lol. It is good and I’m glad this went through and now the BA recognizes chronic pain. I’ve been fighting pain for 8-10 yrs and it’s one of those “not bad enough yet” cases where the drs done wanna do surgery which I get because surgery isn’t always guaranteed to fix it. By with the opioid restrictions I still can’t get any kind of relief so I’m not sure what exactly they are gonna change but small steps forward always a good thing for change within this jacked up system

I have called the Trump VA help line, with very good results. I have had 2 spinal fusions, 4 knee surgeries 1 colon surgery, was diagnosed with cancer (Agent Orange) and many other things.
Had a back operation in Durham VA, haven't walked since. Confined to my residence for the last 5 or 6 years with Chronic Pain. After the phone call to Washington DC, I am now being treated at The Baptist Hospital Spine Clinic in Clemmons. Hope this helps, Want to go Hunting a least one more time, Hopefully this year even if I have to be carried in.

Hopefully this will help me with my back, the VA has referred to it as chronic pain for years . I filed a claime 6 weeks ago. Just got a letter saying they got it and I didn't need to do anything ?

If you don't hear from them i1 week call the Trump VA help line, I called and 1 day later I was contacted by my local VA Salisbury, I been fighting them for 20 + years, you can't stop. That is what they want. I won't tell you what to do but stay away from congress and the Senate, they don't care and will take advantage for themselves. They hurt me bad holding up my process.
