Valhalla shirt idea, please provide input!!!!

I personally would reverse them (front and back). I think the small chest patch with Viking logo or skull or whatever on the breast, then the ticket much larger on the back with the website under it would kick ass.

I kinda like the Viking head overlapping the letters. At first, I thought no way I'd order one...until I saw the version Daryl posted with the big Viking on the back and small ticket on the front.

ETA: ...but I'd be up to seeing what it looks like with a skull instead. Just not big on "death" themes, or anything borderline graphic/obscene. (Which is why I didn't order the Epic shirt...although I can understand why people like it. I just don't have anywhere I'd wear it, or be willing to wear it around my son.)

I like the ticket on the front and Viking on the back, would prefer the second Viking skull that @Chdamn posted upthread.

Ok I want a shirt, but only if we do a get together and do a video of us all marching through a field in full gear and our kick@$$ shirts with Led Zeppelin as the soundtrack.
Just picture it in your mind. I'll bring my AR pistol and tactical tomahawk.

FWIW: Most of the images of Norse helmets that I'm seeing look like this:

Helmet.jpg

And there aren't that many helmets in the Viking show period.

I like the second image, but with not so much going on behind it ,but definitely leave the crossed axes and the small ticket on the front. I'm definitely in on for a shirt if we can get the design hashed out,

Norse/Danes (Viking) helms did not have horns, that is a complete myth. Never been a single example of a horned Viking helmet ever found. In the Viking age that period between 7th-10th Century almost all northern European warriors if they had a helm used the spangenhelm style of helm.

This would be a good example to use IMO

View attachment 12369 Keep giving me input, I like where its going. On the back design (to much detail to use this small on the front) I was thinking about downsizing the overall size and adding a quote either under or around the logo. What do you want to see?

"Animals die, friends die and I shall die; one thing never dies and that is the reputation we leave behind at our death."

I've been wondering if there is a copyright issue with Violent Little Machine Shop. Assuming not, I like the ticket but not the website on the front. I am a little confused about the mythology, isn't Valhalla a giant room at Odin's place where fallen soldiers (or half of them anyway) party and eat BBQ? Just not sure about live again, and not sure that any of this matters.

Keeping a few things in mind, on a small left chest print we can't use something with a great deal of detail. It just wont come out well. If we use something on the back with a large amount of detail that shouldn't be a problem. Still not a skull on the CFF logo but I am looking for one that will work. I put this up just to get feel for it. Keep providing feedback and we can appeal to the masses. As for the image, I have seen it in MANY places for sale. I don't think there is a copyright issue as it seems there are many versions out there.Valhalla v3 proof.jpg

I am in the camp favoring the small front image. The fierce Viking image would be good, but something like a Valknut would require a lot less fine detail.

Digging the viking theme, but.....firearms? Also, the more solid field of ink (like the ticket idea), the more insulation, and then the sweat. We made the mistake of a large solid graphic on a t-shirt one time, and instantly regretted that outcome, in the summer, in North Carolina............

I dig that a lot Daryl. It didn't have to be a skull it was just a thought. That image fits the bill well. Love the axes.

And really like the line under the ticket on the back.

I am going to use a discharge ink on these, it should have a much lighter feel to it. The only downside to it is that it has to be on 100% cotton shirts which kind of offsets the lighter feel with a heavier material.

Is this a new capability for you?
kind of sort of..........lol This is going to be my first time offering these but I have been playing with the process for about 6 months and wearing shirts myself printed with this technique. I wanted to make sure I liked and it was something I wanted to put my name on. It passed my test, now to see if it passes everyone elses!

Here's what I want to see:

Ulf the Quarrelsome, after finding out his brother the High King of Ireland had been killed in battle, chased his killer to the Isle of Man, tied him to a tree, cut open his belly, and pulled out his entrails, and wound it in circles around the tree until all 28 or so feet was out.
Above this picture write: "Valhalla."
Below, write: "Well, that's one way to go." or "It still counts as battle!"

Or you can go with this guy:
http://www.badassoftheweek.com/stamfordbridge.html

Ironically, this guy is probably why we exist as a country and speak English. You see, Harold, whose army won at the battle that killed the vikings army, had ambushed the viking army. If not for the viking, the battle would have been a slaughter, with little casualties on Harolds side. Because this viking gave the viking army time, it turned into a real battle, and Harolds army was already tired and hurt when they had to march all the way across England in 19 days, to fight William the Conquerer at Hastings. If not for this guy, Harold might've won at Hastings.

When are the viking shirts going to be ready for orders?

Trying to get a feel for what everyone wants to see, obvoiusly we wont have a unanimous decision but I would like to appeal to the masses.

I do realize this is not exactly a gun related shirt design but it is a fun design and I bet Vikings would have had some bad ass guns if they could have LOL

So ... since PinkBunny mentioned the Ulf the Quarrelsome and Njals Story could we have a CFF mascot in the making? Might there be a name him contest in the works?

I haven't heard anything from anyone on this one in a while. Any more feedback? Any changes? Should I start taking orders or should I scrap the idea?

I'm definitely down for a few of your last iteration. Like the less cartoony Viking, love the axes, still wouldn't mind the Viking skull idea.

I'm game! Let em roll!

Man, I think I am missing something here:
what do Vikings and Valhalla have to do with this site? What does the admit one mean? That I am a Viking warrior going to Valhalla after I die in battle? Or is it that I am sending someone to Valhalla? Confuzzled.
I feel stupid because everyone else seems to get it!

Same. I don't get it, and the whole viking thing on a shirt for the forum seems... odd to me.

First it's really no different than Molon Labe. I mean who do you think you are a Spartan warrior engaged in the battle of the 300?

Viking much like Spartans are warriors. It symbolizes our readiness to die for our beliefs.

The ticket is symbolic. I e he got his ticket punched. Or it's to pay the ferryman. Or it's your ticket into Valhalla because you died in battle.

The die historic live again is part of the Viking belief. If you died in battle you got to live again in Valhalla.

Let me know if that doesn't answer it for you.

And don't forget the War Boys...all chromed up riding the mystical V8 to Valhalla! What a beautiful day!:D

Personally, I think the Molon Labe/3% thing has reached a level of stupidity too, so I guess I'm just not the target market for it.

Unless you are willing to turn your firearms in as soon as the government says so then Molon Labe applies to you. You are ether flexible on your God given right to defend yourself and your loved ones, or you aren't.

Chad said it well but it boils down to its just a shirt. Some will like it, some will not, some wont care. If it appeals to you buy one, if not not a problem. Give me some ideas and I will get other designs in the works.

Maybe this one would work better for some.

Can we get some shirts made with a frowny face that say,

"I didn't like the other shirt choice"
???
