Are vedder holsters good holsters? They are a bit pricey but if they are worth it im willing to try one. I’m looking for a holster for the hellcat pro so im very limited right now. Any advice is welcome, just so everyone knows I’m looking for Owb.

Thx for the input

I have several of their holsters. They have given great service and I like them. They work for me.

I had the light tuck iwb for a hellcat. For me it was so so for comfort and concealment

Obviously holsters are like shoes and you can’t always judge by one person’s experience

the quality of the build was pretty good

Miy Hellcat Vedder appendix holster sits too low to get my fingers around the grip. I went with a LAG, it sits a bit higher & the leading edges are curved out making reholstering smother.

They're not great and not terrible. I think there are far better options in the price range. Look at:

JM Custom Kydex
Tier 1 Concealed
Henry Holsters
Tenicor
Tulster

Regarding what's said above, that is true and my problem as well, but I think they did make the newer ones height adjustable.

I also think my light tuck sits just a hair too low. It's not enough to obstruct me at 3:00 carry, but it's close. The trade off is that the mag well doesn't jam into my side or gut as much! I do like that it uses a metal clip instead of plastic, but at the end of the day, I couldn't tell the difference between it and 90% of the kydex stuff out there today.

I had a vedder for a Glock 19 and a 365xl I liked both. I currently carry a cz p01 with a tlr 7a in a holsterco that I terribly hate. I carry strong side iwb. Most of the complaints I hear about vedder are from people carrying appendix.

Idk if the hellcat is a model safariland carries but the retention system on a safariland cannot be beat and the only holster I'd use for OWB non concealed carry. If you frequent tik tok there's a cop that stops at local skate parks and rides a bmx bike or skateboard in his full patrol gear... With the Glock on his side and the gun doesn't fall out.

I have also heard good things about JM although I do not have any of their products.

Ok thanks for the info. I’m a big guy and can’t stand iwb carry. I’m just looking bc the holsters for the pro are no abundant yet and I love safariland because I’m very use to them because of wearing one every day at work. Last time I looked safariland didn’t make one just yet. I will look at some of the other options you guys mentioned.

I have a couple of @RR holsters and they are top notch!

Carry a Sig 365 daily in a Vedder Light Tuck. Works fine for 4/5 O’clock carry with metal adjustable cant clip,
and claw. Only con for me is it sits a little deep rela5ive to the top of the belt. Solid construction.

Price for owb hellcat pro? Turn around time?
I’ve got a couple of his holsters. If you hadn’t moved so dang far away I’d show them to you. It’s all good stuff. He’ll make it like you want it last time I bought one.

Yea I know I’m far away now. I miss being around the guys in wake but it’s to expensive and crowded for me there.

Does anyone know how long Vedder holsters have been around? Roughly how long did it take Vedder holsters to come up with a slogan and release a product?
Not sure about the slogan or product release, but it looks like they’ve been around for ten years.
