I think I’ll be seeing this one on the big screen.

Best comic bad guy ever plus Tom Hardy. Toby McGuire playing Venom in the first movies was a terrible cast job.

Topher Grace was Venom, but yeah...... Casting sucked....

he was also the 'bad guy' in terminators - good movie,, but he seemed like an odd person in that movie
Which, Adrian Brody didnt give off a 'hero' vibe to me, either.

I thought he pulled off the creepy serial killer pretty well but that was like the last 10 mins of the movie. The rest of it he was really out of place.

I hope this leads to the Spider-Man and Venom team up to stop Carnage. Carnage was my favorite villain because he was like if you gave the Joker the symbiote.
 
When Venom is "whole", he looks good, but when he peels back part of his face, it's like a human sitting inside a fleshy exoskeleton, and the mouth/tongue is incongruous. In comics, there's no need to show the guy's head/face when he's Venom, but in the movies, I guess people want to see the actor, so they show his head/face, but it ruins the creature IMHO and makes it appear to be a flesh exoskeleton.

From the trailer, the hero/villain dynamic looks similar to that in Iron Man where two guys in armor suits square off, except here it's two guys with symbiotes.

Totally agree that casting for Venom in the earlier Spiderman movie was terrible. Venom didn't choose a friggin hipster in the comics.

It’s an origin story so it took a little setup time but once it got rolling I really enjoyed it. No blood and guts violence, no crazy sex scenes. It had it’s moments but my kids really liked it as well.

I think you meant Predators.
Yaeah I get what you are saying, but I think he was supposed to be an anti hero, I mean he was a merc, right?
