Vepr in 30 06

I want to replace the factory pined on thread protector on my 30 06 vepr. Will a 30 caliber flash hider/ muzzle brake work or do I need to find one for 30 06.

Just need to confirm thread pitch. Most .30 muzzle devices are 5/8-24...but no guarantee the 30-06 barrel is without checking.

Yep its 14-1 left hand thread.
