Video doorbell ?

So, I want to add a video doorbell to my security system but most store the video in the cloud and my devices are on a private wlan with zero Internet access, so that won’t work for me. I have a camera that covers the front door but, at best, it will only capture a profile and I would like something that will show the full face. Does anyone use one that stores video locally or know of an alternative (doesn’t have to be a doorbell)?

Edit: anyone using a video door viewer (peephole)?

Serious. Curt had baby hawks setting off his alarm and there were pictures of hawks sitting on his porch rail.
