I haven't tried a Shockwave, but the older pistol gripped 500's were awful. Hard to aim and a corner of the grip would catch you right on the knuckle. One of the few guns in my life where you would hand it off and say, " Here, YOU shoot it a while." Of course we were shooting stout, high base, almost mag loads.
