What is a close quarters tactical match?

Do they have far quarter matches as well?

Do I have to wear a plate carrier?

There's a lot of good people that shoot that match without getting into the dress up part. I shot the first couple of matches when it began out at Rowan but it got stale very quickly. I tried our USPSA match, was instantly hooked and never went back. But for an introduction to shooting under a timer and using multiple styles of firearms, it's not a bad match to start with or to keep shooting if it's what you enjoy.

Last I heard the club had stopped taking new members.
RCWA has a wait list, but no the ALPHaS club. I assume that what you're talking about

I agree. I've shot this match a few times and its great to learn the game of 3 gun. If you want more run and gun type competition, this isn't the avenue for you. There are different divisions to play in, each has its own character, so read into it what you will. If you want to learn more or find results you'll have to sign up on their forum.

They don't seem to have a strong social media presence, that's for sure. There is a competitor that takes pictures and videos to upload to their Facebook page. I'm not sure if that's kept up to date, though.
