I have a Volquartsen Trigger in a Ruger 22/45 Mark III Lite that is giving me problems. The trigger does not break all the way (even though I have adjusted the set screw on the trigger multiple times).

Does anyone else have this set up and have any recommendations on how to fix the trigger and get the pistol operational?

Thank you
Bob

When you say "doesn't break all the way" do you mean you're pulling the trigger and it is bottoming out before the sear releases the hammer?

Are you confident that it is reassembled correctly? I'd take it back down and check assembly. When you installed it did you use a mark II hammer bushing to delete the magazine disconnect? If not are you inserting a mag before attempting to dry fire?

What RR said.
Also, When you say “the” set screw, do you mean over travel screw in trigger face?

Not sure if you are aware, but there is also a pretravel screw that must be accessed from inside the frame. The two screws work in concert with each other.
If pretravel is not set right, you will not get a reset.
These screws commonly walk out.

The PO had the trigger installed, I bought it in this non-working condition. Will take it out, check the pre-travel screw and that it goes back in correctly.

Thanks for the help guys
