The Vortex Strikefire II + 10 pmags is $180, which is about what the optic sells for alone.

What am I missing? How are they doing that? Is it an old unit that's crap (a v1.0 vs. the 2.0 or whatever you get at other places)? Do they not hold zero?

I'm assuming the pmags are gen 1, but still, the package is cheap and the pmags probably work as does the optic.

You remind me of my wife. My daughter says a friend's sister is going to the concert with them.

"Who's keeping her kids?"

Plus free shipping. Gen M2 mags. Great red dot.

They probably do it the same way Wal Mart does it. They call up the manufacturer and say how many units of X do we need to buy to get 25% off of normal dealer price.

The manufacturer then figures out how many units they need to add to a manufacturing run to get the cost down to a point where they preserve their profit margin.

Well I broke down an ordered one, so I guess we'll see in a few weeks (PSA seems to be really slow on shipping stuff).

I ordered the bag and 7 mags 2 weeks ago. I had it in hand in 4 days but it was short a PMAG. They responded to my complaint the same day and shipped the missing mag a couple days after.

One of those things they got dirt cheap and they're using it to move the other. Can't go broke making a profit.

Margin on accessories are pretty good for retailers. Guns and ammo margins are what suck.

If the MU on the optic is 35%, and the markup on the mags is about the same, they can discount the package pretty well and still profit.

Great turn around time for PSA! My orders usually take about a week or so.

I have a Strikefire II. So far so good! I am by no means any sort of expert, but it was easy to mount, zero and get the dot adjusted to my liking. Has held, but I haven't gotten rough with it yet.

I really like this optic so far, may have to get another one to put on my other rifle so they're both setup the same. I'm sure PSA will have another deal here any day now...

I would personally recommend you try the Primary Arms 30mm Advanced. - $130, battery time is like 14k hours, and it's 2 MOA. Basically every one of those is a pro over the StrikefireII, IMO...unless you like the larger dot, obviously.

I have four of the SF2 red dots, my PSA orders arrive in 24-48 hours to my front door in Raleigh.

This.

They are clearly getting PMAGs for next to nothing (I'm guessing $4), so they use them to subsidize the deals for other items.

I couldn't believe the Sparc AR for $199 shipped including 10 PMAGs. I couldn't find the optic for less than $169 elsewhere.

I took advantage of this deal a few weeks ago. Too good to pass up. Stack the mags high and forget about them
