I had one back when they first dropped and seem to remember it as a bit snappy compared to other pistols in that size range. I’m tempted to pick one up again with the lower price point nowadays plus the current rebate offer.

Fanboy here

Favorite striker pistol

It does have a little bit higher bore axis than some and can have some muzzle flip. Not a lot of felt recoil per se

I don’t really think there have been any/many changes since originally released

I have the original, the original with 5" long slide, the optics ready and the sk optics ready. I've narrowed down all my striker fired guns to this platform other than a few psa daggers for truck/junk guns and a few rimfires. I love the platform, the reliability, accuracy and the paddle release. I carry the SK daily. After thousands of rounds I've never had a failure of any kind with any of them except the long slide. The long slide didn't like 115's for the first 200 rounds.

I really want an sk, but there's an upcoming micro compact that still hasn't been released yet. That might be the better thing to grab.

I forgot about that. It’s been nearly a year since it was revealed and there’s still no release date. Some are guessing it won’t be before 2025.

Agreed... Just a few days ago, I was looking for details online. Most people are saying it'll be another two years before release, so late 2025.

HK VP9CC (SFP9CC)

As an HK fanboy, I'll get one ASAP even though I've already got a ton of pocket guns (G42, G43, LCP2, LCP Max, P365XL, NAA micro revolvers, etc...

CDNN still has FDE and OD green VP9 Tactical Optics Ready Button for $699. Plus, you can buy a SCCY for $89 and you get the $200 HK Store Rebate...

But, I'll warn you... You have to use the $200 coupon code in the HK Store by end of January, and the webstore has been picked clean. With my $200, I got a 20rd VP9 mag, 2 HK hats, a HK Tshirt, a 5.11 HK collared shirt, and an HK Christmas Sweater. Most good clothing sizes are sold out. All knives are sold out. Most mags are sold out... You get my point...

I have been a Glock ambassador since buying a G19 in November of 1990. The VP9's are solid enough that I might just be a convert. The triggers are very good, the accuracy is great, the ergonomics are great and I have experienced zero reliability issues.

VP9 is mechanically complex but still reliable. Has strong trigger return spring which is good. Difficult to service the pistol. Uses P30 magazines so eventually when you pray at the P30 altar you’ll have mags ready.

Went to PSA tonight and shot the VP9, CZ P10C, M&P 2.0 Compact, and my G45. I’m happy I didn’t buy the VP9 before shooting it. I wasn’t impressed at all. I shot the P10C the best. The M&P was probably my second favorite followed closely by the G45. Looks like I’ll be getting a P10C soon.

One aspect of the VP9 that hasn’t been covered is the swapable side panels. While it’s nothing special for pistols to come with multiple back straps, having options to tailor the side panels was new to me. The various combinations of back straps and L/R side panels helped me find a grip that seems to work for me. I don’t own another gun that fits me as well.

One trick is to remove the pin holding the panels in place and replace it with a piece of wire (a trash bag twist tie works). That makes it easy to swap panels around at the range until the perfect combination is found. 😉

p10c's have been going on huge sales lately (as well as p10f and even the p07)

optics ready, threaded barrel: $408 + s/h (no tax)

oh..just found optics ready w/o threaded barrel at PSA for 350 + s/h + tax

and then maybe an even better deal that someone posted here: https://carolinafirearmsforum.com/i...-total-deal-active-again.153036/#post-2503073

I got my free HK stuff, via FedEx, today. It came faster than they said it would, but not fast enough for me to wear my new HK Christmas Sweater...
