VPN for Kodi

So, here's my worthless opinion:

First, there was streaming. And it sucked. Because internet speeds sucked.

Then came torrents, and it was good. You download at your own pace, and watch later. A bit of delayed gratification, but you could get what you want, when you want.
Then internet speeds increased, and it was very good.

Then came the outbreak of lawsuit letters, and torrenters started using VPN's(which make it anonymous, but run slower) or seedboxes(which download it anonymously to some offsite, which you then download).

Then streaming came back through Genesis and Exodus and it was...eh, alright. Streams were low quality and prone to dropping, but you could get what you want, when you want, right away.

Then came the letters, and now they recommend using a VPN, which slows you down tremendously, on Exodus, which is already low quality and prone to dropping. So, you're back to 2003 era streaming speeds and quality.

I don't understand some people. If you have to use a VPN to stream, just torrent it. Might take a 10-30 minutes, but then you get all of it high quality. Or use a seedbox and again, torrent.

Edit:
In theory, of course. You are, I'm sure, going to buy everything you watch, or wait 3 years for the specific movie you want to watch to show up on Netflix.

Currently streaming PopcornTime through a vpn 1080p no lag.
Something famous and well seeded like Avengers, or something more obscure and fun like "Master of the Flying Guillotine," or Kolchack:The Night Stalker, season 6, "Firefall?"
