Anyone else have a Vudoo V-22? I got one the end of last year and really like it a lot. Being able to use Rem 700 stocks and AICS style mags makes it a perfect trainer for my long range rifles. Actually having a lot of fun shooting .22 PRS style matches.

Looks nice - I had not heard of them before but just checked out the website. Is yours the ridgeback model or just the V-22 action in an R700 model stock? What kind of accuracy do you get and what ammo does it like? Very interesting.

Hey Mike. Mine is a barreled action in a Manners stock with the mini chassis system. I had the stock so no need to get one. That's a great part of this rifle is that it can be dropped into any stock or chassis that is made for a Rem 700. The larger AICS sized mags are great for loading too. Much easier than smaller .22 mags.

I have been trying a bunch of ammo to find a good middle road price and performance load. It shoots most everything into little knots at 50 yards. I have been trying SK Rifle and Standard Plus, both which shoot great at 50 and then at 100 they are about 1-1.5". I have shot some out on steel at 230 yards, which is longest I have access to at home, and the Center X was about 3", Eley match was about 4" and SK was about 5-6". Was shooting it in about 5-7mph wind. I have also tried Federal Ultra Match, which Marinefly used to have for $6.99 a box, and it shot great as well. Basically like the Center X.

Some pics I took after first testing.
10 shots at 50 with Eley Match. 11 o'clock shot was first after bore snake.

I remember the original Ravage from Black Ops circa 2012. A good shooting buddy broke down and ordered a Vudoo this past week (quoted June delivery) so I should get some trigger time behind one this year. They look nice and the accuracy appears to be there as well.

Rob, On a side note the Wake County Firearms Training Center has an indoor 100yd range which is excellent for testing rimfire ammo without cross winds. I find it not very crowded Tue, Thur, and Friday evenings after 7pm.

@Rob01 - definitely a shooter! You’re right around the corner from the wake county range. No membership required - attend orientation class, get a card and show up to shoot. $10/hour. It’s my goto for 50 and 100 yards.

Where is home and your 230 yard range?

Yeah I need to check them out. Would be good for indoor 100 yard load testing.

The 230 yards is up on my brother's property. Can only shoot rimfire to 230 but I can zero my other rifles at 100 the way he has it set up. I need to find a range around for longer range. Been going down to Fayetville to Recondo Operations Group open range days which is steel to 800. Only $20 for the whole day which is nice.

Really nice precision .22s Friend of mine that was with Barnes Bullets went with this company a few months ago. I have been very impressed with the video and targets he has been posting. Kind of pricey for me, but would love to own one.

@Rob01 , Dependent on where you are in the Quay, Woody's Hunting & Rifle Club should be less than 30min from your door. It's not open to the public, but you can always go as a guest of a member. Steel out to 550yds. Several of us shoot out there weekly if you would like to come out and join us.

A more distant option, but well worth the drive is Frontline Defense. It will be 1:45-2 hours from your door. It is open to the public, but not the 1k range. Paul Smith (@Frontline Defense) can fill you in on his expansion plans for 2018. I recall a dedicated 300yd rimfire steel range on the list. Annual dues begin April 1st so now is a good time to join. I plan on joining this weekend and making a trip up once or twice a month.

Thanks. I know both places well. Have shot at Woody's a lot over the years as my brother live's a quarter mile down the road from where I live now and we stayed there and shot PRS, 3 gun and DMR matches at Woody's. Just made it up to Frontline this past year but shot a couple matches there this year in the Absolute Sniper series including the NRL match. Both are good places.

Woody's is a little expensive for what is offered but it is close. About 25 minutes. I like shooting there but $725 up front and $425 a year is steep. Frontline is about $150 cheaper a year and has 1000 yards but is 1:55 hours away. If I had to I would probably join Frontline as I like the set up better and the longer ranges. Still not sure yet. Got to get my house sold up north and a few other things beforeI make up my mind on a club.

I appreciate the offer to go to Woody's though and might take you up on it. Got matches the next two weekends and teaching a PR1 class at Shadow Hawk in WV a couple weeks after that so the next month is busy but I definitely would like to go out with you guys and hang out.
