Wait time for the VA to respond

I put in a medical claim with the VA three weeks ago. How long do you think it will realistically take for them to respond? I called them this morning and all I got was a runaround.

You mean you filed a new claim and are waiting on a C&P appointment?

I had a meeting 2-13-18 with my VSO who requested a C&P exam and had the first appointment 4-16-18 related to it. Had a second one 5-8-18. Determination will probably be another 6-12 months

Took Me 18 months for the initial rating.

And another 4 months after i added to the claim
