Anyone have any experience with this gun? Anyone have one i could shoot a few times to see if i want to purchase one? All info is helpful.

I used to own one. It was a reliable gun with a really good or possibly unsafe striker trigger depending on your point of view. I liked almost everything about It, but I am not a striker fired guy. If strikers are your thing it is good to go IMO.

I had one and loved it, also. Was very accurate and not ammo picky.
Like DaFool, I let mine go because at the end of the day, Im a metal frame, hammer fired kind of guy.
I think @Scsmith42 carries one around pretty regularly and might be able to give you some more in depth info

I have one and love it. Fantastic accuracy and great trigger out of the box.
Only negative I would say is the stock sights could be better, but that is an easy fix.

D) All of the above.

I have *more than one* Walthers and the PPQ45 is probably my favorite one. Accuracy is outstanding, and mine has never complained in any way about ammo.
You'd think the triggers in the PPQ9 and 45 would be the same but they're not. I don't know exactly what it is but the 45 takes less trigger effort everywhere...pull, reset, etc. and that's what CZ means by 'possibly unsafe'. It's ready to race for sure.

It's big. It's heavy. You gotta be committed if it's for carry, it's noticeably there. Holsters are a pain to find. Let me stop right here and say...most all the holster makers say the 45 fits the same holster as the ppq9. The hell it does. The old ppq40 fits the 9 stuff, but the 45 is it's own monster. Safariland makes a QLS that fits or you can do something like a Versacarry and of course @chiefjason could probably cut you one. He made one for my 5" PPQ9 and it's a beauty.
The stock sights are weak but work, and that dumb slide cut Walther uses for sights on the PPQ's limits choices. Better sights would achieve better results, the gun will do it.
My PPQ45 goes to the range almost every time. It's one of my favorites and definitely my favorite big block plastic. Maybe it's not for everyone but me and this one get along especially well.

Last note. I'm kind of amazed Walther ever made this thing. The Europeans and especially the Germans and especially the Walther Germans love everything 9mm and scoff at the thought of anything 40 caliber and above unless it's das machinein gunnen. I'm certain they only made it to satisfy the backwoods caveman American market and their stupid 45 caliber non-sense.
The PPQ45 isn't especially rare but they only made a fraction of these compared to the 9mm. They don't come up (used) for sale a whole lot and when they do they can get pricey. $700 for one lnib would not be unusual.
Mags have 'sometimes' availability and run about $40.
It's such a good shooter though that it's quirks are easy to accept. If I were to stumble across a sweet deal on another one I'd likely buy it.

Dawson Precision makes nice sights for the PPQ45. I tailored mine to shoot point of aim with their sight calculator.

And I'm about to go there. I've been holding out for an adjustable rear somewhere but I got no luck finding one.
The Dawson FO front and rear set is probably what I'll end up doing.

I've had two. Last one had an Apex trigger. I shot a couple of IDPA style matches. Issue I had was that you could cause a round to come partially out of the mag when doing an aggressive slide lock reload. Happened more than once. Spoke to my local gun shop guy about it. Said a customer had the same problem with a 9mm. They sent it back. Walther said it was fine. He was seating the mag too hard. Operator error. I decided it wasn't a fighting carry gun for me.

I found it hard to find a holster. I ended up modifying a PPQ holster with 1/2” spacers. Not pretty but it works (it seems that the trigger guards are very similar).

Been looking at these for the past little bit they do interest me but they are a bit pricey.

yea works but wont pass for a work holster.
A Safariland 578 GLS fits the PPQ 45 even though they don't admit it.

Tony at JM Custom Kydex may be able to make a PPQ 45 holster. He routinely makes up whatever I ask. I use his AIWB holsters so cannot speak to the OWB offerings, but they look excellent like everything else he does.
