Anyone with a WASR10 upgrade their trigger from the Century RAK-1 that comes in it? Or know of a good trigger group to replace it? Just gonna say I like the binary trigger option, but I think I'm gonna keep it regular semi-auto, at least for now.

Honestly, the RAK-1 is a decent trigger in my opinion. Tapco also makes a solid AK trigger - I filed off the hump on mine in my WASR and polished it up, and it's very crisp and smooth. Check out ALG for other costlier aftermarket options - they make several AK models and all are widely approved.

And I'll go ahead and say it before someone else does. My personal favorite? Go OG and get yourself a surplus Romanian FCG. They aren't fancy by any means, but they feel great in AKs, they get the job done, and they'll never let you down.

Before I look, does Lee's Mags have them?

I will say the new RAK-1 trigger does feel pretty good, I wouldn't mind polishing it but I'm not knowledgeable on taking the fcg apart

The trigger will naturally smooth out after some use. And assembly/disassembly are very easy to do. Check out YouTube for vids. If you get stuck and YT doesn't help, take pics and post them here and we'll help you out. Just do yourself a favor and use a couple thick rubber bands to hold together the FCG (the purple ones that come with fresh asparagus work great) and/or wear gloves; otherwise you'll 100% end up with the bloody "cobra bite" from that MFing spring.

Regarding 922r, I've never heard of anyone getting pinched for being out of compliance. Ever. But if you're still legitimately concerned - and this is totally unrelated to Romanian parts - I've heard that "USA" is pretty easy to dremel into a piece of metal...

I saw Rob Ski of The AK4774 Operators Union and his Wasr10 hit over 10k rounds out of that one gun and is still hitting around 3MOA.

Hard to prove where the parts were made if they aren’t marked with the country of origin. Mine are all USA as far as I know.

Another vote for ALG.. super nice, and not terribly expensive.

I put a Texas Trigger in one of mine and eas happy with it
