Watches

It will crank itself and back over anyone who says... and I have to say this quietly..."termi"
As my repentance I offer this picture of every available color option TERMINATOR circling this defenseless ws6.

Score! Wife found these among my father in laws stuff. Can’t wait to go through these. Maybe I’ll find another hidden gem. Yay!

Anyone have any experience with H. Goose field watches out of South Carolina?

If they had an auto or mechanical I'd let you know in a week. Haha

I like the looks of that Saluda field watch. Price is a little steep for a quartz, but I'm tired of replacing my timex expedition scout watches every few years.

I did read online somewhere that they have an auto in the works..

With them not advertising the place of final assembly it leads me to believe that this is another made in china microbrand company. There is nothing necessarily wrong with that, however it kinda loses the magic when the creator has 0 to to with production. I would consider it a South Carolina designed watch, but there is nothing else really tying it to here.

On the flipside, it does have pretty good components. Sapphire glass and a pretty robust swiss movement seems like a pretty tough EDC piece.

Here would be my choice. It's at a pretty considerable discount right now too.

Yeah I couldn't find much background info on the company, thanks for the heads up.

I'll check that one out. I was also looking at another victorinox quartz and a seiko 5 sports, sngz15. I'm not sure how the seiko auto would hold up since I'm pretty hard on edc watches at work.
I realize that I should probably just go with a g-shock, but I really dig a simple field watch style.

Durability wise the seiko 5 is great. It has the 7s26 movement like the legendary SKX diver. It will not be as accurate as a quartz but you get the charm of an automatic.

Got a seiko 5 and a nato strap on the way. I'll probably pick up a another timex expedition scout or the new mk1 for a beater.

Really rough shape, but an Omega. Anyone know anything about this piece?

It's Swiss. And old. And it runs on springs.

Seriously, though, move it around, see if you feel a "bumper" or not. That will give you a good first test of the age.

Got a new Citizen recently. I'll post up pics later.
Ive been going back and forth between my two newest Eco Drives.
Both black, one I wear when I dress up, one more casually.
Not messed with my Expedition in over a month now.

The Airking that I missed by 5 minutes. Someone snapped it up immediately. I'm extremely sad I missed it.

My Tudor submariner on a Hadley Roma band that several of you suggested. This seems to be a 1964 Prince (tropical) based on the markings and lugs. Sweet!

I miss buying watches

Somebody buy something or pull one out and take a picture. This thread need some action. I’ve not needed anything recently and have spent $ elsewhere (see what are you drinking thread). Ha ha . Need a fix, post em up!

Alright, I caved this morning. Are you happy? @Midliferally I was staying away from the watch forums but figured it's been a while since I checked it. This thread reminded me of that.

Omega Geneve automatic 36.5mm BIG BLUE SUNBURST c1012 - 1973 - This is a lovely stunner in great original condition. The original deep blue sunburst dial looks amazing. The crown is original and Omega signed. The watch is a ref 166.0168, powered by an automatic cal 1012 from 1973.
