I'm a builder. I've tried that but wacked the body on everything. So went back to normal.

I don't keep my phone on me when I'm working because I'll break that too:rolleyes: so a watch is necessary. I'll take it off if I'm working in tight areas or if I'm using concrete but otherwise it's on.

At least for now the Seiko is holding up ok. Just a couple of light scratches. But it is winter so it's typically covered up. The band pin coming loose is annoying. It'll prolly get lost come tshirt weather:oops:

I am thinking about starting two collections of brands.

    luminox
    Timex Expedition

Mostly low cost on both fronts but i like the designs of these two

I like a lot of the Times styles, but they are loud as hell (if you still have halfway decent hearing). TICK...TICK...TICK...

I picked this watch up while on my trip. Never had a 2-tone watch and this one has an auto wind 80 hour battery.

A so called Swiss fake from the 1850’s-1860’s era. It’s marked for MJ Tobias, Liverpool, but his real name is MI Tobias. I bought it for the scene engraved on the back.

And this is a watch holder in the form of a hanging acorn clock. The originals are from the early 19th century.[IMG]

Finished my Rolex quest last week. Now the happy owner of a Stainless and Gold Thunderbird, a Stainless and Gold GMT and now a Gold President. President in for a tune up for High Speed interstate travel and shorten the bracelet for my dainty girlish wrist. When I get it back next week I'll post pictures of them all. I am now through with this endeavor.

I was looking through my father's stuff before the sitters makes off with it and found some vintage Omega gold Seamaster watches and a bunch of other watches (not sure they have any value). Called Omega and they pointed me to their website with vintage watches on there. Problem some are just B&W outlines of the watches. Any idea where I might get more information on these watches? A long with the watchs there is a bunch of cufflinks and tie pins.

There is even a tie pin from the International Ironworkers Union in the shape of a spud wrench.

Me either! It's the first time seeing a green colored face. My fingers typed so fast they almost flew off. There was a line of 10 ppl and Lucky for me I messaged him first.

Sorry, I forgot to look it up. I don’t think it was quite that old, I think 1990’s.

I think it was from 1991 or 1992 when I checked the serial number. It was my dad’s, and I believe he bought it new in 1992.

Citizen watches are my favorite by far. This one has all kinds of doo dads and functions that I'll probably never use.

I have a old stainless Citizen Eco Drive, titanium Eco Drive, Casio G-Shock a couple collectors Disney Mickey watches and my grandfathers old Bulova. I rarely wear watches and so the batteries all run out. When I do want to wear one I can't find one that's running. I just picked up a Samsung S3 Frontier that I've been playing with. With all the downloadable faces I can make it look like just about anything I want. And it stays on the charger so it will be ready when I need it.

Went to Supper with Michael last night. His youngest son Mark totally surprised me with a "hot rod" watch. He builds or up grades Seiko watches. He told me what all he did to this one, but alas, one of the many things I'm ignorant about. It seems all that is left of the original is the case. I heard the words ceramic, crystal, lollipop, and other "watch Talk" Anyway, it is much appreciated and is now my every day watch.
One advantage to getting old is when folks acknowledge that you have touched their lives in a positive way. I never take folk's company for granted. It is the most precious thing you have. Spend it Carefully. Pictures to follow.
