Awesome!

Want one in 5.56...lol.

Btw, the polish mags arent terrible..i have a bunch for my arsenal 106's..never had any issues..

Dude that's awesome! Great first impression write-up, thanks. Can't wait to hear how it shoots, but it's a WBP so we all know it's gonna be sweet  What are you leaning towards optic-wise?

The green tint Beryl mags?

Might want to buy some more then, because supposedly AOA is eventually going to import some actual FB Radom mini Beryl pistols in 223.
MSRP is going to be like $1100 though.

Yup, the beryl ones iirc.. saw that video, but until they hit the shores...vaporware..

Great review, sir. Drilling through welds is not my favorite. Depending on the flux and welder, it laughs at my HSS bits. I've built a few rifles from the newer WBP kits and the parts are great quality.

Cool beans... I just got one of those Lil Ps for my Blackout pistol. It's an impressive little tank of an optic...

I was prepared for a battle, but this was extremely easy. Went slow and used lots of Tap Magic.

Can you explain to the ignorant what we are looking at? it seems like a drilled and countersynced hole on the back of the receiver? It looked flat and smooth in one of the pics above. I assume this is to bolt on the folding brace? Why countersync?

Looks GREAT and makes me want one even though i have zero need

thank you!!!

Cześć my przyjaciele. If there is one thing I love more than Polish pierogies, it's Polish pistol.

Luckily, friendly neighborhood FedEx man delivers my pistol to friendly neighborhood gun store today. Shout out to Victory Arms in Mocksville. I was watching for the delivery notification and they were on the phone to me before I could call them.

So these are essentially a newer version of the Lynx pistol. They got rid of the "tactical" and made some other small improvements. This will only serve as a tabletop review and placeholder until I can maybe heat it up next week.

Get a load of that beauty. Cleaner, better finish than a Draco (and slightly shorter), cheaper and likely better quality than a PSA. This little immigrant arrives slathered in grease and ready to breathe the free air of the USA.

For carry on, little pistol has brought WBP smoke transluscent magazine. These have no metal reinforcement and are not something I would actually spend money on, but it came with the pistol, so is gratis my friends.
Oddly enough though, this mag will not lock in the pistol. I tried it with an SAR and WASR and it locked in fine on both of those rifles. May need some breaking in.

Of note, because this mag didn't lock in, I tried as many magazines as I could. Here's a list:
  • Metal Romanian 30 rounder - locked in, good fit
  • Unknown metal European 30 rounder - locked in, good fit
  • Metal Hungarian 20 round "tanker" - locked in, good fit
  • Tapco old style "waffle" polymer mags - locked in, good fit
  • Magpul newer gen 30 round polymer - locked in, good fit
  • XTech waffle polymer mag (cerakoted) - locked in, good fit
  • Russian bakelite - locked in, fit good
  • Several other unknown make metal Euro mags - all locked in, good fit.
So, for whatever reason, the actual WBP mag is the only one that doesn't fit well. The others fit great.

Like I said, extremely nice fit and finish. Being a connoisseur or Romy AK's, it almost feels unreel to hold something so clean. The only concern I have is that the bolt carrier seems to be bare metal. I think there were complaints about paint on the early WBP rifles that chipped off, so maybe they decided to just leave them bare. If rust becomes and issue I'll have it cerakoted.
Bolt and inside of the carrier are extremely well machined. Also a pleasant surprise- the piston is not welded on, but held by a roll pin, meaning dropping in a KNS adjustable gas piston will be child's play once I figure out which length I need.
Most parts are numbered. Top cover, bolt, receiver, barrel. Maybe some other spots. The barrel serial was surprising. Speaking of barrel, FB Radom made hammer forged, chrome lined.
Furniture is very nice, but one gripe is that the lower handguard retainer has a spot for a cleaning rod but the handguard it's self is not drilled for one. I honestly don't know where I could find one unless I want to cut down a full sized one anyway.
Tried some other furniture on the pistol and everything fits extremely tight. You will likely have to do some sanding on upper handguards to get them to fit the gas tube without getting hopelessly stuck. I tried some random lower handguards for fun. These fit:
  • East German
  • Polish milled bakelite
  • Polish commercial standard AK handguards
  • Polish Beryl lower handguard
  • Romy laminate handguard set from WASR
  • Russian laminate AK-74
  • FAB Defense Vanguard
  • Bulgarian polymer AK-74
  • Russian plum AK-74

I was hoping these would have the cool Polish eagle on the RSB like the Fox rifles, but these are just marked "WBP" under the sight leaf.

Strips easy, like an AK. No hinged top cover here, which I am not fond of.

As I said, extremely clean machining inside. Shepherd's crook on the FCG. Will be replacing that with a retainer plate soon. Trigger is pretty darned good. Mind you, this is a pistol, so no need for swapping in American parts. You're using the trigger that was intended to be in it, not a RAK or Tapco or anything else.

Rear trunnion is for an underfolder. In order to make that work, you would have to remove the siderail though. I'm going a different route anyway. Of note, the welds that made drilling for a brace more precarious are now gone. Here's what they looked like in the original Lynx:

Xt5lroz.png

Rear trunnion is a smooth piece of metal now. Not sure what was changed here or why those welds were needed, but installing a brace or stock system without removing the whole rear trunnion should be easier.

I'll let you know how that goes when I find the right T-nut and hardware to do it.

Speaking of improvements. I feel like there's more room for 'Merkan Freedom ©.

Oh no. This can't stand. They've had to weld on a muzzle device to appease the dog slayers. Good news is where the Lynx had no threads, the Mini Jack does. Break the weld, take off the huge muzzle nut, and Bob's your uncle. Say hi to Bob when you see him, he's a good dude.

It's a simple affair. I was worried there might not be a detent pin in the FSB, but no cause for alarm. It's there. Install your favorite 14x1 device.

OEzT9Iq.jpg

I tried devices from Circle10AK, AK Builder, Damage Industries, Tapco, CNC Warrior. All fit fine.

Hopefully by next week that brace will be attached and she'll be looking like the belle of the ball. I'll throw together a side mount+optic by then and shoot for groups as well as testing reliability over several hundred rounds.
So far though, I know looks can be deceiving, but this pistol looks great.

Shout out to @dlee12 for influencing this impulse buy.
Could you Please give me an OAL of the last picture??? Thanks BB
