Alright folks, phoning a friend on this. In an effort to consolidate equipment and make some room in the shop, i've done a bit of upgrading. New machine has 35-50 Dinse hook up, I've currently got a 17 series scratch/lift start torch/regulator set that I plan to use with the new machine, my hang up is this. It uses a 10-25 dinse connector. So, I've searched across the web, attempting to locate a 10-25 to 35-50 adaptor which has yielded ONE result... sold by a fella on ebay in AUSTRALIA. Seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/114458425167?hash=item1aa640f74f:g:h5UAAOSwp4ZgRr~j

For obvious reasons with the current shipping fiascos i'm hesitant to order something that is shipping from another country. I find it hard to believe that there is not a domestic source for said adaptor. I've found them that go from large to small but not the other way.

Any of ya'll know of some obscure place that may have these? I already checked CK and they don't seem to have a solution outside of changing the entire connector, which i'd prefer not to do.

I THINK those are twist lock to dinse adaptors. Notice on the female side there is no slot for the lug to slide in.

I think you're right. My bad eyes saw the shadow on the brass and I thought it was a notch.

I did the exact same thing when I ran across those in my search.

Heck, i'm going to page @Djstorm100 into this. No idea how difficult they would be to machine.

Australia again....

Yep.. again, I cannot believe these are not available here.

You could probably make some.

Take a LPDM-50-M: (Panel mount male 50)

And tig it end to end with a standard 10-25 panel mount:

After welding together you'd have one solid adapter. Just insulate the crap out of it.

call your local welding supply shop and ask

^^^^ This. The staff at my local Arc3 in Sanford is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Personally, rather than an adapter my approach would be to simply change the Dinse connector on the end of the TIG cables to match the new machine, or change the socket on the welding machine to match what you have.

Already called Arc3, not familiar with an adaptor but they will call me back if they run across something.

Didn't want to change the connector on the torch as I can still use it between this one and another machine I plan to keep should I need to. I may wind up going that route but the adapter would be a much simpler (and less expensive) solution if I can get my hands on one.

I've had to order some sawmill parts from Australia. Takes about 2 weeks to arrive. Great folks down there.

Recently? If that's the case, that's not bad. I'd figured it'd take a month plus with the insanity we have going on.
Yup. I ordered some parts about two months ago, and then reordered about 10 days ago.

I'll try to get with them tomorrow. Be interesting if they have something and Arc3 doesn't, reckon stranger things have happened.

While searching around again today, I did happen across another source.....

Ships from Chy-nuh

I use arc3 for gas and wire. But everything else comes from airgas

Don't know if any of you have dealt with Bakers Gas/Welding online....but I'm done with them.
Placed an order for some consumables and immediately got an order confirmation. 7 days later I still didn't have a shiping notification, so I questioned it.
Got a reply saying that part of my order contained backordered parts, and they would contact Miller and give me an ETA.
6 days later and still haven't heard back from them.
I cancelled the entire order.

Can’t blame you there, I’d have done the same. That kinda poor communication gets under my skin something terrible. No excuse, especially in the day of instant inventory and website that track it.

As an update, I’m 10 days into my aus order. Parts are on their seccond flight.
