"Well, think again, Sunshine."

Intellectually vicious is how I would describe them.
I like that. Also, I liked a couple of the comments at Vanderleun's where the commenter said they learned about Prof. Peterson via their millennial youngun.

@AD43576 Thanks for picking it up. Same for anyone else with newfound appreciation for Professor Peterson. The clip you posted is part of one of his lectures in the Maps of Meaning course, a 400-level college philosophy/psychology course available in its entirety online. Pinocchio, Jonah, Cain & Abel, the Buddha, story, meta-story, hero, and archetype. All free to anyone so interested. Very much worth the time for those willing to invest it. There's also an audiobook of Maps of Meaning. Also free, I think.

It'd suit me just fine if we turned this into the Jordan B Peterson appreciation thread.

Just now via JBP's twitter-

Some of my favorite advice from Prof. Peterson, paraphrased: Speak the truth, and embrace the responsibility for doing so. Nota Bene: the faculty who claim to be "threatened" by this aren't the least bit interested in refuting it.

From the linked article-

But that isn’t sitting well with the U of T facility (sic). Faculty association president Cynthia Messenger issued a statement on Friday that explained how her group “has taken the unprecedented step of asking that the entire executive meet with the provost’s office to express our deep concern about this threat to our members and to the academic mission of the university.”

Peterson was unfazed by the “unprecedented” action, telling the Star that if “what the faculty association did today was an attempt to intimidate me into not doing it, you can be bloody sure that they’ve failed completely.”

Lovin' it.

And many of teachers of public school system are the results of those radical left classes and start our kids earlier and earlier ... before long the damn pediatricians are going to give pregnant women a womb speaker and radical left propaganda recording to play intrauterine during her pregnancy.
This is the truth, unfortunately.

Aesop once said to me that Jordan B Peterson is a socialist. I've learned that Aesop is very right about many things, but when he is wrong, he is insanely and moronically wrong. Calling Professor Peterson a 'socialist' was one of those insanely wrong times.

Very similar speech to the lecture that @georgel posts above:

Love this guy, he is awesome!

Preaching the truth like this makes you a target though. Just wait for the leftists' sexual harassment case coming in 3, 2, ...

JBP a socialist? Laugh of the day.
I tried to get him to 'splain it, but he wouldn't. Goes to show that even the smartest of us can still be dead-ass wrong. Which, not ironically, is what JBP suggests in the speech: If you believe something, have the stones to say so, and take the slings and arrows for it. You'll be stronger and better for having stood up for whatever you believe in, and so will everyone around you.

Yes, same speech but perhaps different podium. Worth watching again and again, though.

Currently watching Glitch in the Matrix, featuring the rock star of the intellectual dark web. Blue church and Red religion.
