so it begins my colonoscopy prep...
Pills then drink some stuff

Yea so I took the pills and already my ass is Fallon out, this coupled with the fact that all I’ve had all day has be jello and broth Gatorade...

This is horrible

But I’ll loose a few lbs
I share this cuze I love yall
 
I can't tell you how many I have had since mmt father died from colon cancer 21 years ago.
My son had 3 in one year in his late teens while they were trying to get his crohn's under control.
That gallon of liquid is nasty.

BTDT a few times. Got some kind of unspecified colitis that acts up from time to time & hafta get scoped every few years
 
Wife is due in three months, every five years due to her mom history, they got it in time.
I took the tablets since I'm not diabetic like my wife, that last two tablets were a bit hard to get down.
Asked the Dr. if I could just eat at Taco Bell the night before, cheaper then the prep kit and she laughed.

A coworker had one a few years ago. They told him that before he would be due again they’d no longer be doing them. I hope to avoid them all together.

If you have polyps, they'll need to be yanked out, and they are not uncommon, so while they might find better ways to do the exams, I imagine the "treatment" will require the same prep.
 
My PA during a office visit broached the subject with me of having one done. My response was for her to mark that off the list of procedures that they had any chance of doing on me.

This needs said twice...and added to- colon cancer, surgery and chemo is worse than a colonoscopy.
I guarantee your manhood won't suffer one iota from having the scope done.

And to make it worse.......you are about to be violated.......
 
I had to wake up at 4am for my last quart of prep. It was the thought of what happened in that bathroom the previous evening that kept me from throwing it back up.
 
I guess you will swallow a small hi res camera and that will replace the test they do today.

Can't remember how many I've had now and it never gets any better during the "prep" phase.
Now, let me tell you what NOT to do afterwards.
Like you said - for a couple of days beforehand it's all broth, jello and other liquids that you're going to squirt out while drinking that vile stuff the night before. When the procedure is over you're going to be very hungry. DO NOT stop at a fast food joint for a great big double cheese burger with fries and a milkshake!!
No matter how cleaned out you think you are there is some residual effect of that prep juice you drank and anything going in is going to come out just as fast. That first bite of cheeseburger will be coming out before you finish the last bite.

The best way I have found to deal with that vile liquid is to have a big spoonful of lime jello at the ready, then hold your breath while drinking the glassful of stuff and, before you breathe again, eat the jello and swish it around inside your mouth before swallowing. This may take a little practice at first but it works for me.
 
Welp it’s now 0100 and I’m ok the home stretch now.. finished up the butt juice...
Sipping water an watchin cops...

I had one done in April, while it was not fun to have that much throne time in such a short span. The procedure was a cake walk. I will gladly give up one evening for the screening.

Not yet had a colonoscopy, but I've had 2 upper endoscopies. Basically same tool different entrance. (they use a different one right? :) )

No prep involved with those other than showing up, but they pump air into your stomach to inflate it a bit to be able to see everything. You're asleep, naturally, and don't know this is happening.

Until after, when you're recovering from the anesthesia and ripping giant farts on the nurses. And laughing about it, because drugs ...
 
Mix the go-juice with vodka and plenty of ice and make a big pitcher of frozen daiquiris.:D

LOL. After my first chemo, I felt so good and I hadn't eaten since breakfast on the way to the cancer place, and this all took EIGHT hours, and I was hungry...so I stopped for a cheeseburger on the way home....a really bad idea! Pretty much as soon as I got Mom settled in and got myself situated, guess what??? lol.
 
Had my first one 3 years ago.They found and removed one big polyp and said a followup in 3 years.Yep,that time again.
Have it scheduled next month.It is what it is and it beats butt cancer.
