Western Carolina M&G - Official Thread

By the way. If I do manage to make it and drive all the way there...

Will I be expelled for not owning a CZ?

P.S. Forum members who aren't going to the M&G, any of you got a CZ I can borrow? I don't actually need to fire it, just need it as a prop for a few hours.

I could let you borrow one of my 527's. Nobody need know what a fool you are! :p

Thanks for that but I've come up with a better solution. I was able to buy a CZ decal at the show yesterday and will stick it on a Taurus box to bring to the event. :D

I dont think I can go but someone should grab my 1000rds of green tip to blast away with (I am local to Statesville).

How long an extension cord do you think I need to bring to plug in the TRAEGER ?
And pulling a small 6x10 trailer shouldn't be a problem?

Anyone from the Charlotte area care to carpool?
What part of Charlotte are you in?

My issue right now is I have no idea what time I'm going up there or when I plan on leaving to come home.

Ok. I'm gonna be there!

Remind me... Can we arrive Friday and camp? (aka snore in truck bed on air mattress)

I'll check the potluck thread to see what's needed, but I said I could bring a 22" Weber grill, and still can if it'll help. I could also (he said w/o checkin' where everything was first) prolly bring a propane tank, burner, and 4 gal pot that someone might conceivably use as a deep fryer...

What sayeth the Senate?! Fry? or No Fry?

Definitely bring the grill. Give @OverMountainMan a shout about camping arrangements.

Not to be a buzzkill...but he won't be around here until after the M&G. So hopefully some of y'all have an alternate contact for him.

How are we on target stands?
I didn't realize I'm only 10 minutes away from the place. I can knock a couple 2x4's together this week and bring them over on Friday afternoon if need be.

If I drive up in my truck I can bring some 2xs and build some target stands, how tall do we need for the steel??
@BigWaylon , I live in Weddington and plan to make a long day of this.

is there power available? I could being a crackpot of chili..... or a pot on a Coleman stove

I've got a couple stands, one. About 3 foot tall with a piece of 12x16" steel hanging in it.
It's just a piece of 1/4, don't care it it gets holes as i have some old steel core to shoot it with.
And i made a taller one about 3'x5' with a piece of cardboard for pistol shooting.

Just send the ammo. We'll test it out for you. :p

I have 4 8" steel plates (thanks to JimB for letting us borrow them) and some crappy chain and some wood to make stands.

I'm not going to be able to make it. Just found out last night we've got company coming Saturday.
Hopefully I can make the next one.

I could use the help. Besides ...with my shooting, the plates may fare better than the stands. Lol

I don't have any problem hitting 8" plates.

The only problem I have is ducking the splatter from standing 1 yard away.

Well my employer messed up paychecks so unsure if I'll make it really put the squeeze on my funds.

Folks, really sorry to miss it, have a long-planned trip with one of my boys. Have a great time.
