Been borrowing my buddy's rebel 17 tumbler and like it. Looking for recommendations on a wet tumbler. I like the looks and size of the RCBS one. I'm not really interested in the HF or making one.

Agree on the Frankford Arsenal. Just got one a couple of weeks ago. First few batches I tumbled with the SS pins....cleaned primer pockets, inside and outside great. Over the weekend I cleaned a few batches without the pins and outside looked great but think I will use the pins from now on.

Edit: I waited on that price from Amazon to drop. It was $144 and before I was ready to buy they jacked the price up to $164. As soon as it dropped back down I bought it. Has since gone back up.

I have the Harbor Freight dual drum tumbler. I got it for $43 with a coupon. Comes with 5 extra belts. It works great for small loads which is all I really do at once. 200, maybe 300 pieces or so. Just don't over load it. I use 1lb of pins in each drum, a few handfuls of brass, a small squirt of Dawn and 1/4 teaspoon lemishine. Let em run for about 2 hours and they come out beautiful inside and out. Even the primer pockets. It'll probably do even better with those small chips you bought.

You may be able to find the coupon online but if not the coupon code is 93812069. It's good until June 30th 2020.

The Frankford Arsenal is great for larger batches. It'll do up to 1000 223 at one time.

Have had great luck with my Frankford. They have two versions now, mine is the original, larger version.

I have the larger sized FART. Worked well the one time I used it. You’re welcome to borrow if it you’d like to try before you buy.

I've had a bad experience with the FART lite. Matter of fact just sent it back a week ago. Actually bought it after watching that video. If you don't fill that thing up to its full capacity every time it's horrible and even with a full load it's not great. The brass just sits at the bottom. There's no rubber lining in there like the full size so nothing to grip them to tumble the brass. They need to add some grooves in there or something. Horrible design. Look at the comments on that video and there's a couple other videos on YouTube. IMO, stay clear of that one.

If you want to go that route you'd be better off with this one from Midway. It's their brand and I bet they're all made in the same factory. It goes on sale for the same price as the lite quite often and has all the features of the full size FART. Same capacity too.

I have a FART, and it works well, but it is loud.

I also have this https://stainlesstumblingmedia.com/shop/stm-40-tumbler-37.html which runs more slowly and is much quieter than the FART but processes more brass in a batch. At the current price I can’t recommend it, but it is a very nice piece of gear.

Another thing to consider, the full-size FART comes with media, the FART Light does not.

I like the fact that the full-sized one opens on both ends, it makes rinsing much easier. It also comes with slotted caps, I put one on one end, flip it over in a tub, and spray from a garden hose to wash out most of the dirty water (along with some pins, caught in the tub).

I’ve got plenty of media. I bought some southern shine media and have 10lbs of pins too. Just looking for something quality and reliable.

I grabbed some mesh inserts for mine - pack of 2, but I only use 1 at a time. Made rinsing a WHOLE LOT easier! Frankford made those also, iirc. And they weren't pricey, either.
