The kind of song that brings a tear to your eye every time you hear it. I have a few but the one that tops the list is Carrie Me Carrie by Dr Hook.

Dr Hook and The Medicine Show could always pull one off to make you shed tears in your beer...........Here's another:

Here’s one from my childhood:

Theme from the movie Brian’s Song. It fits here well since Gale Sayers just passed away a few days ago.

I played that CD so much I wore it out.

Same here, full blast in the shop..

I think that was the same summer that Ween came out with 12 Country Golden Favorites, my boss Rich got Mr. Richard Smoker played for him every morning as he walked through the door..

This vehicle accident prevention video was one used in a program I supervised a few years ago............still tears me up every time. Very few here know anything about why this one always gets next to me. One day I'll share the reason.

One that always hits me hard is by an old punk band (1977, still putting out music...whenever the singer isnt teaching college courses), never a super 'fast' punk band, I dig them
This one was written by their drummer, after the passing of his father.
Really hits me when I think of my grandfather, though we had a great relationship (unlike this guy,who says his father was a very cold man)

But it makes me think about the moments I didnt take, didnt make. I wish I had one more day.

"Wish you were still around
For one more day like yesterday
With you"

Taps & Amazing Grace
Back to back I don’t think you be touched anymore. An old buddy passed a few years back and both were played at grave side. I almost made it thru the bagpipes on the knoll and Amazing Grace ... just a few tears and sniffles but didn’t recover quickly enough before the bugler hit those 24 notes from the knoll ... and neither did 99% of the others attending.

Cheesy video but hey, music videos were a new thing back then.

Music trivia: Gabriel wanted Dolly Parton to sing the female lead but she turned him down. So, he got the next best female lead: Kate Bush.
