Carl, that's a 44mag bisley.Which chambering? I've got & love the .41 & really shoulda picked up the .357 & .45 at the same time.
I’ll bring them back when I get done showing them off!I knew I shouldn't have given you that safe combination☹️😫🥺😠

I’m definitely understanding @BatteryOaksBilly now on his preference for a 3” revolver. This one points well, and is still quick to draw.Picked up this 38 special 3” SP101 recently from another member. It’s definitely purdy enough for a barbecue!View attachment 277373
Now those are BBQ guns...A few more for y’all to drool overView attachment 277235
And those are also..The 2 finest SA Colt's I ever owned. They are definition of BBQ guns. They now belong to a prominent Colt Collector in Cullman AL. At least I can say I once owned the Sheriff and the Indian, done by world famous Robert Burt in the Colt Factory. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did. Well, depends on the type of BBQ, and the Occasion I believe, along with some other factors...... Regardless, it is not "BBQ Gun", it has to be "BBQ Guns", as in a pair, plural, more than ONE. In some cases, giraffe bone will do fine, as long as you are the one who shot the giraffe, and the bone is from your collection..........Real Texas BBQ guns should always have Ivory
The whole story of these guns is pretty amazing if I can jump in. @BatteryOaksBilly can go into details but how once they were a pair, got separated, got put back together and finally in the hands of the Colt collector is part knowledge, educated hunting, pure luck and one of the greatest moments of good business and unselfish friendship I’ve ever witnessed in the gun collecting world. I have a strong desire to build me a gunbelt & pair of holsters for a pair of 1911's similar to this.Well, depends on the type of BBQ, and the Occasion I believe, along with some other factors...... Yep, well that would be a different sort of BBQ, one that suited 1911s better, and maybe some nice Mammoth Ivory grips to go along with the elephant Leather rig.......I have a strong desire to build me a gunbelt & pair of holsters for a pair of 1911's similar to this.
It's good my pacemaker is functioning properly!Yep, well that would be a different sort of BBQ, one that suited 1911s better, and maybe some nice Mammoth Ivory grips to go along with the elephant Leather rig.......
Sorry...I'm not from Texas...so I don't know all the rules...but if they become their own Country...I'm moving there...LOLWell, depends on the type of BBQ, and the Occasion I believe, along with some other factors...... Elmer Keith said.....There are 3 materials to use for pistol grips, Ivory Ivory and Ivory. I like Ivory but Pearl is my favorite. When you look at 100 year old factory catalogs with choices for grips the Pearl is always 50% higher than Ivory. There is a set on my S&W Registered Magnum that is spectacular/.Real Texas BBQ guns should always have Ivory...
I love goulash lolMy goulash gun:
A several year story told in a succinct manner...You were fated to be involved...It is a grand story!!!!The whole story of these guns is pretty amazing if I can jump in.
