What Alternator brands do you like?

Took one off the step sons 06 Focus today. Reading reviews, they all suck, lol. Who have you had good luck with, and/or not? I'm gonna see if I can find someone to rebuild the one I took off, if possible to find someone without waiting too long. He's driving my truck until I get his fixed, and I want him back in his ASAP, haha.

If you have any And I mean any mechanical skills at all A rebuild is super easy. Especially with youtube these days. 2 hours tops.

Yeah or check a local shop and see if they can do a rebuild. I had belmont alt. and starter do one a long time ago for a neighbor.

I imagine the labor on a rebuild would be more than just buying a remanufactured one.

I've had good luck with OEM remans from the Ford dealer.

We ran strictly OEM for years on emergency vehicles, now we're using AutoZone, they're holding up at least as good as OEM.

Autozone for all the alternators. Had two go bad and lifetime warranty.

NAPA sells the good stuff.

I've always used the auto zone rebuilt alternators in the past, and never had any big issues.

Found a guy to rebuild mine off Atando in Charlotte today for $85.00. Should have it ready by lunchtime. Thanks guys.
