What are you drinking?

Decided to see what “all the fuss” was about. Good, drinkable, a little to much rye for me to
be really crazy about it. Glad I bought it, won’t rush back when it’s gone. Just a solid pour.
Cheers!

My daughter, SIL and kids are leaving on Saturday (been here for 2 weeks) and figure that Jordan (SIL) and I would go through some different pours. Started off with Baker's 107 Single barrel, then to Uncle Nearest 1856 (100 proof) and then a pour of Weller's SR. Once the grand-kids are down I think we will finish with a pour of Sazerac Rye and a cigar.

Tonight's choices...

Larceny is 1 of my go to bourbons for reasonably priced bottle, They also have started sending the rebate out again. I haven’t had the 6 year Whistle Pig Rye but the 8 is tasty.

Had a bourbon yesterday and just did not get into it. So today a little Papa's Pilar Rum.

It is an all for one night and going through a bunch (3 or 4) of different bottles. After the first, the second and so on does not matter that much.

What is it with all the brown booze here? What am I missing?

A few days ago I posted that I was drinking some Yellowstone 93 proof and said it was OK. The package shop where I buy from had a store barrel pick from Yellowstone so I bought a bottle and cracked it today. Going back later to get another bottle or 2. It is as smooth as anything in the 93 proof range that I have had. BTW, the Taylor and Baker 107 SB (hidden) in the background is for my son. DAMN, I am a good father.

Wanted something different. Ended up with a pour of Papa's Pilar dark rum and a Floresy Rodriguez Tamboril. And some sunshine.

Been rebuilding this deck for what seems like years. Finally finished up the railings and that leaves stairs a landing and more stairs.

It is great outside tonight. Wind blowing 10-20 knots. Grilled some steaks and been drink a little of a few different bourbons. including some vintage Old Grand Dad. Smoking a nubbie. I think that is what it is called. It was given to me.
