What are you drinking?

Not drinking anything yet but with the first debate coming up in an hour I'm sure it will be a double bourbon very soon.

I've heard great things about this stuff, but could never find it. I keep hearing that it's way better than the price indicates. Has anyone tried it? @thrillhill ?

I love the Very Old Barton. And like the J.T.S. Brown Bottled in Bond, it is an absolute steal for the price.

After moving a cord of wood and restacking it on a new rack it was time for a Moscow Mule or 3.

Love a good Mule, though I prefer 'em Mexican.

What ginger beer do you like? I've only seen Cranny's here. It's good, but I love ginger beer & am always on the lookout for something new/different.

Today I was using Barritt's but Prefer Reed's.
Barritt's is $4.79
Reed's is $5.99

Those are the 2 of the 3 that the package shop has. The grocery store only has the Barritt's.

I just started playing around making them. The Mexican you speak of, is that made with tequila?

Started off with a couple pours out of the "infinity" bottle (it's BS! It hasn't refilled itself!), then had a healthy pour of Old Grandad Bonded. Working on a Four Roses single barrel now. Life's alright........

Had some of this last night. I'm going to describe it as dangerous because it is extremely mild. Almost no burn from the alcohol. I can see that being a green light to a black out.

2 NC brews tonight, it was a rough day
Blowing Rock Brewing is in Hickory, this is an amazing Kölsch. And Hummin' Bird is a Red Oak brew (as if everyone probably already knew), my favorite Red Oak by far.

More info please.

It is full of flavor when you sniff it, When it sits on your in your mouth it does not burn. And this is coming from someone that taste bud was shot years ago with chemo. Most other liquors have a shallow taste to me but this one just seems a lot fuller.

Help me out here, please!

We are coming into brown liquor season. I have the Bourbon and Rye covered for me but, spouse prefers Scotch. I will sip it occasionally and know nothing about what is good.

What is a good, median priced Scotch that I can surprise him with for his b'day and the Autumn season?

Grabbed a bottle of EHT Small Batch this morning. Man, that is some delicious stuff. I see me taking stock on that. Add the OF 1920 and Ill be set on staples. Still want to try the OF 1897 BIB and 1910, but hear the 1920 is better. The 1870 is meh.

I am finishing off the bottle of EW BIB White Label. Good for a rotator but not going to exactly keep it in stock.

I like the Abelour Double Cask Matured 12 year old. It is under $50 and is delicious, IMHO. The older Aberlours are supposedly also very good, but they are $80 and beyond. For the money, this is a good bottle.

Milly I am not a big scotch drinker but will have a pour every now and then. I find this easy to drink and tasty. It will not break the bank around $43.00

I am gonna have a few fingers of this Michter's Small Batch in a few. When I first tried it, I was not impressed. But after having a few more drinks over the first half of the bottle, it has grown on me more and more. I'd rate it a 6 to 6.5 out of 10.

Somebody once told me life is too short to drink cheap liquor, but somehow my cheap ass always go after the per dollar alcohol content, as long as it doesn't taste like rubbing alcohol. I bought a jug of this spiced rum because my favorite jug of tequila was sold out. 92 proof. How can it go wrong? Well, everytime I have to drink it till taste doesn't matter any more.

Just finished off this bottle of chinese wine an old friend gave me... came in this neat little jug and everything. Gonna keep it and learn drunken master kung fu--if the wife says yes , of course.

Wanted something to drink and really was not sure what I wanted. Looked in the cabinet and found this in the back. I bought it over a year and half ago so I figure it is time to crack the bottle and try it.
